Wrapped 2021 is Spotify’s global year-end campaign that takes users through their audio journey and spotlights the most streamed artists, songs, podcasts, and trends from across the world. Spotify announced the campaign in India supported with local storytelling to maximise the fanfare around all things Wrapped that celebrate the year in audio for listeners in the market.

One Year Of RADAR India

Spotify RADAR’s one year milestone in India gave us an opportunity to highlight our role in propelling the careers of talented indie artists from the country, locally and globally. To highlight the relevance of the program, we shared the success stories of the first 12 artists who were a part of it. We designed and executed a strategic communications approach - delivered through traditional and social media outreach, as well as through a first of its kind virtual event.

Spotify announced the local adaptation of the hit Chilean Original thriller ‘Caso 63’, and for the first time, Spotify worked with Bollywood talent on a podcast. Real life couple and actors, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal play protagonists in this dystopian audio show, and we took this opportunity to go mainstream with national and regional media outreach.

#ProjectAmplifiHer was initiated to drive Spotify’s commitment towards spotlighting India’s underrepresented women artist community. With an aim to initiate conversations around the gender disparity, the campaign brought together voices from across India, including artists, podcasters, composers, script writers, and other female talent behind the scene that is changing the audio industry. Spotify launched a dedicated microsite, bringing these women under one cohesive spotlight - allowing India’s aspiring generation of artists and creators, to familiarize themselves with their journeys and successes.
